3 Bed house in Walthamstow, E17, London

This house is one of my most meaningful projects, marking the start of my journey into project management and property development. When I first discovered it, the property was in a state of neglect — the living room had no floorboards, and the main bathroom could only be accessed through a cupboard in the principal bedroom.

Transforming it was both challenging and rewarding, laying the foundation for the knowledge and experience that define my work today. The project gained wider recognition when it was featured on Homes Under the Hammer on BBC One in May 2018.

From a design perspective, the focus was on creating a functional layout while restoring the home’s original Victorian character. Period details were preserved where possible, complemented by modern finishes and practical updates. Light, space, and flow were key drivers in the redesign — transforming a once disjointed and dated interior into a warm, inviting, and timeless home.

Every element in this bathroom was salvaged and carefully restored, blending reclaimed pieces with contemporary finishes to create a luxurious, modern space that still reflects its original Victorian charm.

The fireplace, chandelier, and table were all second-hand finds, lovingly restored and brought back to life with patience, care, and attention to detail.

This space has been enlarged by creating a back extension, a great space for receiving and entertaining guests.
