I'm Ana Trofin. Trofini Designs grew out of years spent running property development projects, where I watched sound buildings let down by poor planning: rooms that didn't work, layouts nobody had thought through, money spent in the wrong order.
So I trained as an interior designer and built the studio around the opposite approach. The plan comes first, and nothing decorative is chosen until the drawing works. From your first email to the day the last piece arrives, you are working with me.
Since then I've designed homes, offices and small commercial spaces across the UK, Italy, Greece and Romania — some needing a complete rethink, some needing one room to finally make sense.
Four things that don't change, whatever the project
The plan comes first
Layouts are resolved and drawn to scale before a single finish is chosen. It's the least glamorous part of the job and the one that saves the most money.
You see it before you buy it
Mood boards, measured floor plans and 3D visuals, so that nothing arrives as a surprise on the day it's delivered.
My trade price is your price
Trade discounts are passed on in full and shown beside retail, so you can see exactly what you are saving and on what.
Hands on the materials
I've personally restored more than twenty pieces of furniture. It has made me fussy about texture, finish and how things are actually put together.

My career began in property development, managing projects where the construction was sound but the spaces weren't. That's what pushed me into interior design, and I've since delivered high-end residential, office and small commercial projects across the UK and Europe.
I like the problems other people avoid: the awkward room, the flat with no hallway, the spare bedroom that has to be an office and a guest room at once. Efficient, multi-functional spaces are what I'm best at, and what I keep learning more about.
With a background in the arts and a hands-on approach to materials, I work with clients rather than at them. Bold ideas are welcome, as long as they survive a floor plan.

Brian runs the studio day to day: schedules, suppliers, deliveries and the technical side of every project.
If an order needs chasing or a delivery needs moving, he has usually done it before anyone notices it needed doing.
